Aku senyum dalam keterpaksaan. Entah kenapa. Aku dapat merasakan perasaan yang tidak enak untuk pulang ke bumi tercinta. Sepatutnya, aku dah pulang tahun lalu selepas grad untuk degree kat perancis ni tapi aku mengambil keputusan untuk bekerja di sini untuk menimba ilmu selama beberapa tahun. Tanpa kuduga, classmate ku yang sudah bertahun-tahun bersama ku menimba ilmu di bumi orang ini menyimpan hati kepadaku. And the most important thing is, aku pun dah lame simpan hati kat die!!! Kebetulan pula kami bekerja di tempat yang sama. Kami merancang untuk berkahwin hujung tahun ni. Setelah diri benar-benar bersedia untuk berkahwin dan duit pun cukup. Pulang ke Malaysia dan membuat suprise kepada keluarga kami. Uh, seronok- seronok. Tapi, nampaknya, ape yang kami rancangkan tak dapat nak di realisasikan. Aku terpaksa balik ke Malaysia terlebih dahulu.
Hanya di atas lembaran kertas sahaja aku bisa mengungkapkan semua itu. Aku tak mampu untuk berterus terang, aku tiada kekuatan untuk semua itu.

Tatkala aku sedang menikmati keindahan petang di sebuah tasik, tiba-tiba seseorang datang memelukku dari belakang. Aku terkesima. Eyna? Aku terkejut dengan kehadirannya secara tiba-tiba. Belum sempat aku bertanya apa-apa, dia kembali memelukku sambil menangis.
Sedang asyik menyusun buku yang baru sampai di rak, tiba-tiba ada seorang pemuda menegurnya mesra. Setelah ditoleh dan diamati, Zai seakan mengenali wajah pemuda tersebut. Setelah pemuda tersebut mengenalkan diri barulah Zai teringat bahawa itulah Helmi yang tidak di sukainya dulu.
Andai saja dulu ia mengikuti nasehat mama dan papanya, mungkin nasifnya tidak seburuk ini. Betapa penyakit itu telah membuatnya patah semangat. Membuat ia kehilangan orang-orang yang ia sayangi. Reanita bukan saja kehilangan orangtuanya, teman-teman terbaiknya, tapi ia juga kehilangan Handrian. Laki-laki yang ingin ditunangkan papa dan mamanya.
Alahai, dia dah buka cerita lah, malunya!!!
